Edvard Munch is the artist behind this painting and is most famous for his artwork The Scream. However, the Norwegian painter typically visited south of France and was a regular client at Monte Carlo’s casino. He then used this obsession as an inspiration to make a new project which produces various painting set revolving around the said subject.

The painting is conveying the nervous and exciting energy surrounding the table while the wheel is spinning with faceless audience watching. The 1892 painting is based from an oil canvas and now part of Oslo’s The Munch Museum.
